I am trying to completely wipe a hard drive clean and then install in new computer and I dont seem to understand how to do it.
I have run fdisk and then I still have problems with hard drive. Can anyone give me some good directions on putting in a new hard drive and going through the partitioning etc. where this hard drive will work.
Thank you in advance for your time.

Download the Maxtor PowerDiag utility, it includes a complete zero write of the drive. Should work with most IDE drives.
