Hello I have been having troubles the last 3-ish months with first my E: drive and then my
D:
drive. And as of tonight I cannot get into BIOS and booting is VERY slow.
I have my OS installed on a m.2 drive and some other stuff on my SSD, neither of them are affected by these issues.
I used to be able to see the disks by restarting the PC a random amount of times and they would just be there again, this doesn't work anymore. The PC refuses to show them and I can't see them in BIOS since I can't get into it.
What I have tried so far:
  1. CHDSK
  2. Switching out the SATA cables
  3. Tried letting windows attempt to fix them, but Windows can't detect any faults.
My relevant PC specs are:
  • Asus Strix Z270H Gaming (2017)
  • i7 7700K (2017)
  • Evga Supernova 1000W G2 (2017)
  • Seagate Firecuda SSHD 2TB - ST2000DX002 (2017)
  • WD 1TB - WD10EZEX (2015 ish)
Any help will be very appreciated, Thank you.

Failing drives or SATA controller.

Try using different SATA ports.
Try testing the drives in another PC or using an external (USB) dock.
