hardrive failure

my computer says my harddrive is failing.how do i save everything icluding windows on a disc?

If you buy a new hard drive the installation utilities included will allow you to copy everything to the new HDD, assuming you do it before the failing HDD crashes.

But everything to discs? I, for one, don't know.

If you have a cd burner, you could go that route. I would save everything you consider usefull to cd.. Then re-install. Makes more sense to buy the new drive before the old one fails and backup that way though, like the above post mentions if you like the way your system runs now.
I for one use failures as an excuse to re-load a fresh operating system though.. I like the "fresh" feel.
