I have a CDR drive, DVD drive, Hard Drive, Zip drive, and only two ide sockets on my motherboard. How does one hook all this stuff up?

Each of those IDE sockets have a cable plugged into them with 2 connectors. A computer will only take 4 IDE devices, 2 to each cable.
