My power went out, and when I turned my computer on after the power came back it was working fine until I was idle for awhile. I came back an hour or two later and the mouse wouldn't move, alt-del-ctrl did not work, and I could not do anything but push the power button to turn off the computer.

When it came back, I immediately got a message saying there was a 'Hardware Monitor error', and it told me to go to the setup menu but I had no idea what to do. Right now everything is working fine, but I don't know what will happen if I leave the computer on while I am away and if it will freeze again.

Does anybody know if this will likely be a recurring problem, and if so what I can do to fix it? Thanks.

I don't know if this is related or not, but I started up AOL Instant Messenger and got these errors:

"error category 7
error code 3"
