I use a USB portable hard disk with two computers, one running XP and the other running ME. On the first one I get the icon Hardware Safely Removable which I click when I want to disconnect the hard disk.
On ME this icon is missing and the only way is to unplug the disk from the USB port. Doing that I get the blue screen saying: Unable to write on Drive F data may be lost

How do I get that icon on Win ME so I can safely disconnect the drive?
Is there another way to do that?
Thanks

if you want to disconect a device, go into my computer rightclick on the F Drive (assuming this is the removable device)and click eject and this will safely remove the device.

Hi,
clicking on the F drive (which is the removable device) I don't get the Eject option!
Is there anything I can do to get it?
