Hi! An elderly gentleman at a place I work at, had his screen hijacked with a phone number to call. He called the number and was told to click on something (icon?) on the screen, which he did. He was on the phone for a few minutes and hung up. During the day, he was called back by the person a few times, but his wife answered once, and one of the other times he answered then hung up. They never asked him for money. Did he put a malware program on his computer? If he did, can it be found by some anti-malware program, like maybe malwarebytes or will I have to wipe his hard drive with killdisk and reinstall his OS?I haven't looked at his computer, so I don't even know if he has an anti-virus program. Either way I'll have to install anti-virus---any recommendations---freeware preferred. Any and all responses will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
