There have been a large amount of people who have problems accessing MSN, Yahoo, Google and what not (myself included), pretty recently. Does this seem a little strange or what?

I was checking out my HOSTS file, and I found all these sites blocked (ALL of the Google sites, Altavista, and such) so I tried to edit it in notepad, but it won't let me save my edits to the host file, it keeps saving it as a Notepad file. I could've sworn I've edited my HOSTS file in Notepad before. Is there any program in particular I should use to edit it?

Thanks ahead of time.

Okay, nevermind. I realized it was set to read-only (dur.) So I turned that off, then edited it. Google and the other sites work now. I tinkered around a little bit longer in my WINDOWS folder, and I found another Hosts file, a backup, that had all the sites blocked. Any idea what this is? Work of a virus, or some such?
