I have a Dell Dimension E310. It used to boot up correctly, but since adding a new NIC Card into my machine it now gives a Floppy diskette seek failure flash screen ... it sits on the screen saying: "Strike the F1 key to continue, F2 to run the setup utility ... it waits for you to input with one of those keys.

Any hints on how to remove this flash screen I would greatly appreciate it.

You may have accidently disconnect the IDE cable for the floppy drive or jogged the power cable. You have two choices 1. you can reseat the IDE cable and power cord to the floppy drive or 2. you can go into BIOS and disable you floppy drive. You can access your BIOS by pressing any one of these keys f1, f2, ESC, or del. I would start with f1 first.

    Good Luck
