I watch some TV episodes from the internet, and after a couple days of leaving my computer on, you have to reboot it to get it to download anything. If you shut the computer down and then restart it, it seems to be fine. Why is this?

Do you mean you download from tv episodes from the internet or stream then via websites? e.g. flash video?

OK so streaming videos then.
Could be alot of different things to be honest, ranging from resources being pushed to thier limit to malware.

first thing i would do is install the latest version of adobe flash on your machine, then also if using sites that stream divx, i would install the latest version of your divx plugin attached to your browser.
