When I get passed the dial up part and whichever browser I use, netscape or internet explorer, when the page loads or soon there after I get a blue screen and a message that reads...
A fatal exception has occured at OE-0028: (then these numbers vary each time) and it says to press any key to continue and I do and another blue screen appears saying a fatal exception has occurd at OD-0246:03d747f3 and press any key to continue I do and things continual normally. I was using instant messenger yesterday and it started this and finally the app quit running and froze my pc . Any suggestions to causes or a way to figure out cause????? Thanks.

Try restarting your computer in safe mode and remove the IDE device and then restart normally. Windows should look for (and find) the drivers and reinstall them properly. Could be anyone's guess as to why it happened.

You don't say which Windows version you have; but if it is Win98 I would recommend doing this: go to Start>Shutdown>Restart in MS-DOS Mode. At the c:\windows\> prompt enter:

    scanreg /restore

select a started registry prior to the problem from one of the 4 you see. Any settings changes or installs done after that date will need to be redone

If you have WinME, you can use the System Restore utility.
