I hope someone can answer this.
Well my brother was on his desktop earlier today, everything was working fine, no problems. He turns it of to save power and come back a few hours later, when he tries to turn it on he gets nothing but the start up screen. A virus scan was run the day previous and there were no threats, spyware, virus', or anything else of that nature. The Keyboard is unresponsive, we have tried unplugging and replugging. Can't seem to find the restart disc either, so as you can see we are in a bit of a bind.

You need to be clearer. Exactly what do you hear from the system, and what do you see on the screen? The windows start-up screen but never passes that or a logo? Jazz
