I am having problems installing a second hard drive on my WIN 2K system. I have it as a slave to my primary HD, and it shows as working properly under the Device Manager, but it does not have an associated drive in "my computer." the HD came with a format utility, but that will only allow me to put the drive in fat 16, which would be insane as the HD is 40 gig

    Help me please!!!!!

Does it show up in Disk Manager?

In case you didn't know, in Windows 2000 (and XP, fyi) you have to set up partitions in an extention called Disk Manager. Right-click on My Computer and choose Manage. Then, on the left column, click on Disk Management. In the bottom frame, you should see your new second hard drive. Right-click in some blank space and it should let you create your new partition.

Please reply back to let us know if this helped you!
