hdd problem!!!

    He zapped the partitions and is/was trying to format it, going to assume there is no data to save ;)

    My premise was indeed based on the fact that the 6.4gig drive had nothing on it, so it's really not worth trying to save. The worst scenario I can imagine is that you put data on the drive, and then it totally craps out, and you really do lose something!
