    A friend of mine has a dell desk top running windows xp.He says the hard drive is about full and he wants to add a sata drive.Is it possible to add the drive and install his dell os disc on the new sata drive. The dell disc has xp on it and i guess it also has other drivers. W ould there have to be any changes done in the bios? any input would help. THANKS

    You'd have to check that the computer supports SATA drives, if its an older Dell then it may not.

    And he can add the second drive without having to install Windows and without taking out the original drive. You can have the drive as a secondary drive just for his data and move some of the files off the main drive to make room.
