So I have a blu-ray player on my computer and a TV that is capable of going up 1080p. When i plug my computer in to the TV the best quality i can get is 720p. I don't know if this is do to the cord or maybe my computer can only output 720p (this seems unlikely)

I use an HDMI cord from my computer to the TV. I have a NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS and it is HD capable.
