Hello, I have fought with these programs..to the bitter end...Avast! and Sunblet counterspy will not leave my system..I have destroyed almost everything of both programs and have recently gotten EZPest patrol and everything installed except for the anti virus...now When I installed Avast! I noticed that there was no uninstall icon but did'nt think much of it now..and before I was able to go through all its running processes (Or so I thought) and stop them it would not let me remove it...Now when I go to control panel then to security center it still says that Avast! is running and up to date...although there is no tray icon or running processes or association files for that matter! I even went into my system32 file and found all its components and destroyed them one by one...yet it is still there and stopping me from installing the good anti virus prog..Please Help me >.<

Download Your Uninstaller which is a very good app for removing programs for your computer. Now reinstall Avast and use this app to remove it. This app is a demo but Fully functional.

On the programs list avast is gone but sunbelt counterspy is still there..the uninstall got rid of both programs and neither program is coming up on the list of the uninstaller but when I check under security and anti virus it tells me that there is more than one anti virus running....

if you dont want them running then do this

and they will only run when you want them to run

1, go to start

2, click on run

3, type in msconfig

4, click on selective startup

5, uncheck the box that says load startup items

6, click on the tab that says services

7, then click on the box that says hide all microsoft services

8, then uncheck anything in that list that has to do with the virus scan you dont want running

9, apply and click ok then restart
