Oh boy i hope someone can help me out. As i've been tearing my hair out at my computer, for i can't access one of my favourite sites. The problem started about a week ago. before that i had absolutely no problem accessing it. But for the past week evertime i try to connect to it i get a page saying:
GATEWAY TIMEOUT

the following error occured:

server unreachable

please contact the administrator

Well i contacted the websites admin and he said this:

"We have not experienced any outages, you may want to check your computer, for viruses or spyware. Additionally, if you are using AOL, do not connect to the site using the AOL software. Simply connect to AOL as normal, and then using Internet Explorer to connect to the site. Thanks."

Well i don't have AOL so its not that. i just don't know what to do, as i don't know that much about computers. Please help
by the way i have windows xp

If you posted the website address, we could verify that it is actually reachable?

Hi,

Delete all your temporary internet files

Run AV & Spyware scans

Carry out virus scans with fully up to date signature files or on line

http://www.sarc.com

or

http://uk.trendmicro-europe.com/consumer/products/housecall_launch.php

Then download and install Spyware removal software.

Ad-Aware, Spywareblaster, Spybot & CWshredder.

http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/

http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html

http://www.softpedia.com/public/cat/10/17/10-17-150.shtml

Run each, update all of them and then run again, removing everything found.

Also install and run A Squared free or the pay version
