I am new to this site, and what a helpful site it is. I am Head of Operations for a screen printing and Embroidery company in Rochester, NY.

One of the biggest problems we have with our customers is when their computer gets bogged down with adware, and they end up not being able to send us electronic art and pdf work orders. So we started offering computer clean-up and repair and have been doing that as a bit of a side business for a few years now.

Much of what I have learned from research as come from this site and others like it. So I figured it was time to sign up.

Oh and btw, I'm always asked how you get a shirt made when I tell people what I do. So we set up a site for the individual user who wishes to upload or create art and have a shirt made and shipped to them. {website deleted}

Looking forward to learning a sharing more about computers here!!

Thanks everyone, I'm sure you can help me with my pesky computer problems, hopefully I will be of some help at times for some of you. It seems no matter how much you learn about Windows based computers, there is still so much more out there to be learned. Thank god for boards like this and google. :)

What do you guys use for a pc firewall. I've always used zonealarm, but I've had problems with shared folders behind ZA, sometimes I end up just taking it down. Anyone have a better suggestion?

Thanks Much!

I think I answered my question upon further research. You add the IP address of the local machine that you want to access your shared folders into the trusted zone. You go to the firewall tab then the zones tab and there you can add the machines. Now my shared folders can be seen by the machines that I choose over the network.

Very cool!
