Hi.

Today I ran a Registry cleaner and somehow managed to remove something that allows Java to run, I get an error message saying "Error 1722" and when I click on the Java icon I get this:

HKEY_Local_machine\software\javasoft\java runtime environment\1.5.0_09

What can i do to restore orfix this problem.

I have included a HiJack this log hoping it will help:

Thanks Nick_Coffey

We tried that a few times before we posted the problem on this forum and we just kept getting that error message "1722" so it will not let us download Java at all, the full error message is: "The system cannot find the registry key specified HKEY_Local_machine\software\javasoft\java runtime environment\1.5.0_09"

So it looks to me like the registry key has been deleted or corrupted and I need to find out how to go about repairing that.
Thanks.
