I need help fixing my settings or whatever is causing me not being able to view pictures. I get a red x in the corner of the box where the picture should be displayed. I have also gotten a message telling me that I need to download an updated flash player but I am unable to. Please help! Its driving me nuts!

In this forum, go to the top of the forums, where it says Search this Forum, click it on, Type in ( red x in pictures). There are a lot of other people having problems with red x's and there are several different solutions, not just one. Read them and try them out. Hard to pick just one without knowing your system. Also, what do you mean by your not able to download a flash update? What are you using as your flash player. Probably Adobe Macromedia. If you are, go to www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome. It runs a scan of your system and lets you know if it needs an update or not. That solved my red x problem. I am assuming that this is while you are on the internet? Go to start, then my computer, your drive icon C or D usually, then click windows folder, then look for the Downloaded program files, open it. It should say Shockwave Flash object and Shockwave Active X. If it does, then you should go the the web page I gave above and do the check. It automatically runs the check.
