help!!! cd-rom

    i used winamp for the 1st time and i think it did something 2 my settings. i went 2 system/device manager/right click cd-rom/propeties/settings and it was ticked disconnect unticked and restart and is ok.

    A thought, use control alt delete, end task on everything running except systray and explorer. Now does your cdrom recognize data on the cd's.

    Other thing would be to go to start/settings/control panel/system/device manager/cdrom tab, expand it, select your cdrom, go to the bottom hit remove, reboot, let windows reinstall the device and see if that clears it up

    when you go to run click on browse and go into your cd rom ......at the bottom is a drop down menu change it to all files instead of programs
