I know this system I am listing is very old, but I cannot afford to build another computer right now. Although, I am willing to see if I will be able to upgrade the CPU to a higher speed. I currently have a SD7-533 Motherboard and a Intel Pentium 4 Willamette running at 1.6GHZ. Could someone please recommend some higher rated processors that would run with this board?

    Thanks,
    Mike

Abit is out of business so there is not a lot of info available on their site. I think the fastest cpu you could install would be a northwood 2.4gig. You need to be careful since this cpu was released with both 400mzh and 533mzh. Your board would only support the 400mzh version.

IMO it is not worth the money to invest in 8+ year old technology. Use what you have until it does not work any longer then replace the system.
