ok so im kind of new to networking and etc. Here is my problem im running a server on my pc it auto-detects lan ip and wont connect to wan ip for some reason i can't change lan ip or wan ip it auto-detects it, and if i use a VPN service ex: Hamachi/EasyVPN my server crashes assuming that it tries to use both ips as lan. I have been searching the internet for a way to make the server online so i ran into the option NAT allowing to map external ip (wan ip) to internal ip (lan ip) would this work for my server?

client >> WAN IP >> NAT Router >> LAN IP >> Server
normally a client only connects to the server using wan ip (im using a router)
Client >> WAN IP >> Router >> WAN IP >> Server
but the server wont accept incoming wan connections any ideas?
