I am receiving an error message when trying to install WinDVD from my computer driver dvd rom.

Error Number: 0x80040707 Description: Dll function call crashed: Instutil._LQueryEx

Can anyone tell me what the problem is? When I insert the driver disc a message comes up that my computer is not a genuine Fujitsu machine, but it is. Using XP Home sp2

Many thanks

I did some searching for you and I found it may be a Windows registry entry is missing or you have a bad copy of WinDVD, such as you downloaded a OEM version that does not work for your PC. For the Windows registry fix see: http://consumer.installshield.com/kb.asp?id=Q108167#invalid

Disregard the fact the link state for Windows 98/ME, as it is worth a try. If the registry fix does not work try downloading it from another site.
