HELP! I am stressed and distressed!

    I have Windows XP.

Lately I've been seeing pop-up flashes on my screen that says

    "Internet Script Error"
AN ERROR HAS OCCURRED IN THE SCRIPT OF THIS PAGE"
    Line: 303
    Char: 270
    etc.
DO YOU WANT TO CONTINUE RUNNING SCRIPT ON THIS PAGE?
    [Yes] [No]

I don't know what this is, is it a deadly virus? Will System Restore correct it?

I know that my computer is probably seeing its twilight times, just not ready to get a new laptop just yet but I probably will this year.

    Thank you so much.

PS - I also lost my Google Toolbar SearchBox at top of my screen. I am still using regular gmail.

I will try this procedure. Thank you. At least it's not a deadly virus. I am still stressed but not so much. Thank you.
