Not much of a Scanlog. Are there any items unchecked in msconfig?

You are going to have to research the exact error message that Nav produces; usually there will be some number associated with it.

Try entering the key words or identification numbers in their knowledge base search index:

You also might try running one or more of the Online scanners listed on our Help Tools page:

Uncheck the items in msconfig prior to creating or using HijackThis. Post a Scanlog showing the unchecked items.

Also go to Add/Remove programs and run the IE Repair Tool and report any error messages you might get when running it.

Are you able to download anything? Try downloading the McAfee Stinger or the Trend Micro Damage Cleanup programs from the Help Tools thread. Those can be run offline.

Grisoft's AVG is also a free, installable Antivirus program.

Trend's Micro Damage Cleanup is likely to be the most thorough initially.
