Help i got a question

    I 've been locked outta my PC, from the windows login part. Its a Windows Xp home ed. OS

    Find the administrator, have them log in and change your password for you ;)

    yeah but you see im on another comp the one locked out is in my house im using my bros comp at his house

    Scroll down to the bottom......perhaps you gave it a 'hint' that will trigger your brain into remembering the password ;)

    How to Log on to the Computer By Using a Password Reset Disk
    If you forget your password, you can log on to the computer with a new password that you create by using the Password Reset Wizard and your password reset disk:
    At the Windows XP logon screen, click the user name that you want to use. The Type your password box appears. Press ENTER, or click the right-arrow button. The following error message appears:

    Did you forget your password?
    You can click the "?" button to see your password hint.

    boot to dos with a win 98 boot disk
    Do a change directory to c:\windows

    type:
    del c:\*.pwl-then pres enter
    type:
    del c:\*.sam

    This deletes all saved passwords on the system and the database that windows stores passwords in..the password in theory would be blank on the administrator ID

    What operating system, I can test it real quick.
