    Hi,,

My computer got infected somehow and I'm at a loss how to get rid of the problem. I use ZoneAlarm (which unfortunately wasn't running when I was hijacked), F-Prot AntiVirus, SpyBot, Ad-Aware, HijackThis and RegFreeze.

Nothing seems to help, although each program is doing a good job letting me know that I have problems!

When I start my computer, I get a pop-up window or two, the Bookmarks in Internet Explorer have been taken over by several random websites, and "Best-Search-Web" takes over my IE occassionally.

    Here's my logfile from HijackThis:

    CWShredder http://www.intermute.com/spysubtract/cwshredder_download.html
Close all browser windows, Open cwshredder.exe then click "Fix" and let
    it run.

Print this out and boot to safe mode – fix with HJT

    View Hidden Files
Open Windows Explorer. Go to Tools, Folder Options and click on the View tab.
Make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is checked.
Also uncheck "Hide protected operating system files".
Now click "Apply to all folders", Click "Apply" then "OK"

    Delete these files
    c:\windows\jjfixer.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\SbCIe027.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\nbo.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\mshelp32.exe

    C:\WINDOWS\System32\dbf.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\DSMANA~1.DLL
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\javafix3.dll

    Delete this folder - C:\Program Files\IESearchToolbar

    START – RUN – key in %temp% - Edit – Select all – File – Delete

    Empty the recycle bin

Boot and post a new log

I’d get rid of regfreeze - http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm - read about it here

I haven't had time to see if this worked or not. So far I haven't had any problems though.

Here's the new logfile. Is there anything here that I should get rid of?

By the way, this is so great. Thanks so much for your help. I'd be lost overwise...
