Iv recently built my own computer it has an MSI K9A2 Platinum AM2+ Platform it has 4 GB Ram and a 200GB hard drive and a AMD Phenom II dual core processor iv been trying to install windows 7 onto my new computer but when i get the the part where i chose which harddrive to install windows 7 on it come up with and error message saying :

Windows cannot be installed to this disk. this computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu.

i had a look in the BIOS and had no joy so if someone could help me it would be grate

    In the BIOS:
Integrated Peripherals: Extra RAID Controller [Enabled]
Integrated Peripherals: On-Chip ATA Devices: On-Chip SATA Controller [Enabled]
Integrated Peripherals: On-Chip ATA Devices: RAID mode [RAID]
(reboot after changing RAID configuraton, then set boot order before installing Windows 7)
Advanced BIOS Features: Boot Sequence: 1st Boot Device: [RAID:DRW-2] < this will only show RAID if DVD Drive is SATA
Advanced BIOS Features: Boot Sequence: 2nd Boot Device: [RAID:HDD]

Now, try installing Windows 7 with nothing but your Keyboard + Mouse, DVD Drive, HDD connected. Off course i mean that your CPU & motherboard are still connected.

The error you are getting is a driver error.

What Version of windows 7 are you trying to load? 64-bit / 32-bit
