Help Me Please

    Everytime that I am using Internet Explorer and then go up to the upper right hand corner to click on the X to exit out of the window and close it, it just dings and does not close the window so I have to do CNTRL ALT DELETE which then closes ALL my internet windows even though I clicked to just end the task of the one, PLEASE HELP ME!

    same problem only just occured

    opera browser still works fine

    can quit sometimes by rapidly pressing the X top right

    anyelse experience the same

    ps mine appeared to have started after i got pop up flooded

    read the internet explorer xp post by porky i sorted mine after i deleted 2 files using hijacker

    best o luck :D

    It may be due to "bad" browser plugins.

    Please do this:

    Go to http://www.spywareinfo.com/downloads.php#det , and download 'Hijack This!'.
    Unzip, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".

    When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
    Press that, save the log somewhere, and please show us its contents.
