I keep getting an error that says:

The Following File Is Missing Or Corrupted: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\VMM32.VXD

Type The Name Of The Windows Loader(e.g., C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\VMM32.VXD)

I'm pretty new at working with computers, so I would like very basic, easy to follow instructions on how to fix. If anyone could help it would be much appreciated.

    Did you just install something?

Is the Windows CD in the drive?

I just installed windows millennium, and as it was restarting that thing came up. I don't have any other disks. I have no idea how to rerun the windows millennium disk. I'm not that smart when it comes to computers. I've found other websites that tell me what to do, but I don't understand half the stuff they say.

Just take the CD out of the drive, and boot.

Reinstall, and at the point the it is restarting, ensure that the CD is not in the drive.

How did you do it last time? Presumably after booting from the CD or a Boot diskette.

You can't install Windows from within Windows.

I was installing windows millennium and it said it needed to restart, so it restarted, and after the windows millennium thing comes up, that error comes up and I cant get passed it.

Yes, And I am saying, do the reinstall again.

And at the point that it needs to restart, remove the cd from the drive and allow it to restart.

You reinstall by booting up with the CD or using a boot diskette.

As I asked, how did you try to reinstall in the first place?

When I reboot with the windows millennium disk in it does the same thing. I have to type something after C>

    Is this a command prompt?
