I have a bitdefender total security plan on my surface pro 3 with windows 10.

After I used the bitdefender oneclick optimizer, which said I can free up around 20gb of space using the disk cleanup, certain programs started to disappear on start menu and on the 'all apps' list.

These apps also cannot be searched using the search icon on the taskbar.
Among the programs that were missing were
    iTunes
    Youtube downloader
    Microsoft office 2013
    Autodesk AutoCAD
    Google Sketchup and others

All of these programs are in the uninstall list in the control panel, meaning they are still installed.

However, I cannot find and/or start these programs, except for Google Sketchup which I successfully found and was able to normally start.

You shouldn't use any type of registry clean/optimizer programs as they often cause more problems than they solve.

Having said that, the Oneclick Optimizer should have made a registry backup and a report. I don't have access to the interface but I'd open it up and look for a feature to restore or undo the last cleanup. Also, look for a report in this location:

    C:\ProgramData\Bitdefender\Desktop

to see what was actually removed. Please post the contents of that report here.

    Thank you for the reply.

    Here's what I found in C:\ProgramData\Bitdefender\Desktop

A registration entry file named backup20151229013731. But I do not know what to do with it.

What do you think about the "RESET THIS PC" Option in windows 10? Screenshot (11).png Screenshot (12).png Screenshot (11).png Screenshot (12).png

I would not reset the PC.

The file named backup20151229013731 is a backup of the registry that was created. Please right-click that file and then select "send to" and then "Compressed (zipped) folder". This will create a zipped folder with the file inside it in that same location. Please upload the zipped file here as an attachment. I'd like to take a look at the contents because we don't just want to restore the entire thing in case there are malware entries in there.
