I have a serious prolem with a hard drive. It was producing serious error (0x00007 etc..) . The technicaian I contacted informed me he would partition the drive in question and recoup the data on the other portion however the format was unsuccessful and was aborted at 2%. Now it work even startup - no error messages dos prompts nothing. Even when I have paralleled it with an operating drive I still can not view any data on it. My abilities and resources are limited! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Richard

ok.........so its set to boot from cdrom.

boot with the 2000/xp disk..... at the 1st blue screen hit repair.
    at the 2nd hit install.
you will get the option to format the drive using fat32 or ntfs file system(your choice)then the drive will be formated and windows setup should occur, you will need the product key.
    hope this helps....let us know.
    good luck;)
