Not certain how (I haven't opened any email .exe's) but this morning Norton alerted me to the presence of Trojan.Peacomm as a spreading threat I proceeded to try and utilize Norton to remove it but after following all of their instructions it failed to address the threat. After some research I found this virus is called wincom32.sys and was recently unleashed (I'm sure you all know this), anyway I can't get rid of the blasted thing so I need help, here is my HijackThis log, thanks so much for any and all of the assistance.(y)

After consulting a friend of mine he suggested that Norton AV is simply telling me that I am not protected in order for me to update my virus definitons, but apparenly people are having problems with the update. I am manually updating my protection from: http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/download/pages/US-N95.html

If this solves my problem I will let everyone who actually cares know.

Well that worked, NORTON AV is using a dialogue box which at least to me lead me to believe I was infected. In fact, it was just a prompt to update virus protection (apparently people are having problems with LiveUpdate) so if you have Norton and get this warning, use the link above to update protection and the "You are not protected from a spreading threat" will go away.
