    Hi mallain1952,

    You´re quite a collector. ;)

    First go to Add?Remove software and see if WhenUSave aka SaveNow aka Save! is listed there. If it is remove it there first. Either way continue.
    Dwonload and run RapidBlaster Killer from: http://www.wilderssecurity.net/specialinfo/rapidblaster.html
    Check the following items in HijackThis.
    Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

    Reboot after doing so, preferably into safe mode and delete:
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\msbb.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\System\WinStart001.EXE
    C:\PROGRA~1\Save <=entire folder
    C:\WINDOWS\uptodate.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\rundll16.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\msiefr40.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\aupdate.exe
    C:\Program Files\ClientMan <= entire folder

    Next, download Ad-Aware at http://www.lavasoft.usa.com/software/adaware/

    After installing AAW, and before running the program, update by using the Globe icon.

    Shut down and restart Ad-Aware.

    Now press "Scan Now", then 'next', and let Ad-Aware scan your drives.
    It will find a number of "bad" files and registry keys. Click 'Next' again.
    Rightclick in that pane and choose "select all and click 'next'.
    It will ask you whether you'd like to remove all checked items. Click OK.

    Finally, close Ad-Aware, and reboot.

    Or use Spybot - Search & Destroy

    After installing, first press Online, and search for, put a check mark at, and install all updates.

    Next, close all IE windows, hit 'Check for Problems', and have SpyBot remove all it marks in red.

    And read this on how to prevent future infections: http://www.net-integration.net/cgi-bin/forum/ikonboard.cgi?;act=ST;f=38;t=3051

    Regards,

    Pieter

    Thanks, Metallica.
    I'll give your instructions a try.
    I run Ad-Aware every couple of weeks, and I tried SpyBot before I pressed the panic button and sought help on Tech Support Guy.

    It looks like your advice might have done the trick, Metallica. I followed your instructions as best I could and I haven't seen any sign of the Odysseusmarketing stuff since. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
    Couldn't find some of the files you had me looking for but it seemed to work out. Machine runs faster, too, so I guess we cleaned out a lot of junk. Thanks.
