Help on making my new pc

    Hey im making my own pc and i need help.
    First question is a 550w power supply enough for a amd athlon 64 x2 5000+
    And which motherboard do you recommend for a atx case

    the power supply will be determined by all the other components you add...half the fun is doing the research on all the components that you plan on using and what you want to use the computer for..gaming and video encoding and apps like that need more processing power then surfing the net...first step...figure out what you plan to do...then see what the apps require or recommend...then start looking for components to meet or exceed those specs
