I have a simple set-up and I know there's a simple answer but I can't find it anywhere, and I don't want to go to Future Shop looking totally ignorant so ... I plan to buy a D-Link WBR-2310 wireless router to replace my wired D-Link router. I have a Toshiba Satellite A100-VA1 notebook which has built-in wireless which I want to use ... wireless. I have a Playstation 3 which I'll wire direct to the router because it's close anyways. I have a cable modem. Question(s) is ... don't laugh ... is there anything else I need? When I run the setup wizard through the laptop, I need to be wired to the modem, set up the router, set up the network and then disconnect the cable from the laptop and then I'm wireless? My wife has put the thought into my head that I'll need a main computer wired to the router which would be used by anything wireless to access the network. I hope I've made my situation clear, any help would be much appreciated.

The wireless router is all you need. You are correct that the only time you need to have a computer connected by ethernet is when configuring the router or upgrading its firmware.

Unless you plan to buy a matching D-Link Rangemax wireless adapter you will be using only standard 802.11g 54Mbps; so consider saving money by buying a standard router without "turbo," "108Mbps" or any other extras. The WBR-2310 Rangemax MAY give you somewhat better range, but don't count on it.
