help please usb????

    hi i have a tiny laptop with windows xp and the usb ports dont work at all, they dont detect anything at all when put it the slot.

    There is no usb in device manager and i have tried looking in the bios but there is nothing on it any suggestions please im desperate

    It sounds like you need to renew the driver software for the USB controller. At the moment it sounds like they don't exist as far as the PC is concerned.

    I found that as long as you have the room it is better to go to the office supply store and purchase a Belkin USB 2.0 5 port PCI card this will save you time looking for all the drives. I had to do that to my old gateway all the little white plastic peaces fell out.
