Help please

Recently I've got a new laptop it's a hp pavillion g6 it has a smashed screen but we use hdmi. A couple of days ago I was mucking around In the display drivers and accidentley disabled my display driver now all I see is a black screen and hdmi doesn't work and neither does a vga cable. Any tips on what I can do its a hp pavillion g6 thanks :(

Problem is it has a smashed screen I can't see the screen to boot it into safe mode could I have a step by step to do safe mode without seeing the screen?

Yes of course, you can't see anything. If it's not Windows 8 try the first method at my link 'blind', it should work and get you into Safe Mode and you should get a display then.

Also when I press f8 how do I navaigate to safe mode without seeing the screen could you tell me how many times i would have to press the arrow key? Thanks for the help so far by the way

You don't press anything but the enter key. Safe mode is the first option and is selected as the default.

Then it is more than a driver problem; it points to a hardware problem.

Just how smashed is this screen again? Is any signal whatsoever getting to it? Can you even see any POST output on any screen?

Try turning it on like normal and wait until you're sure windows has loaded (wait 10 minutes), and then hold down the WindowsKey and press "P" two times. WindowsKey + P + P. Then release The WindowKey and press Enter.

Wait for something to happen. If nothing happens, do it again. WindowKey + P + P. Release. Enter.

This will loop through the various display modes in windows and you might get the screen working again.
