I recently had a xabot worm. I deleted the file and now Micro Trend
virus scan and Norton Virus scan show my computer to be virus free.

When I run my Spybot program it shows error after it scans about 3/4
of my system that says Error XABOT!!! So, I downloaded HighJack This
to double check. This is what I got:

Hello...

Well, it looks to me like you have a few problems. It is strange that neither Norton nor TrendMicro see a virus.

These two lines look pretty strange to me...

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\RYI9JOQ.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\RFQ78LD.EXE

Also.... This one looks pretty fishy also..

O10 - Hijacked Internet access by New.Net

Not to mention that this one is not helping you at all either...

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\P2P NETWORKING\P2P NETWORKING.EXE

It is used by file sharing programs.

If I were you, I would head to the TrendMicro site and download SYSCLEAN Package here...

http://www.trendmicro.com/download/dcs.asp

It is located in the middle of the page...

After that, you need to download the latest pattern files... here...

http://www.trendmicro.com/download/pattern.asp

Put SYSCLEAN and the UNZIPPED pattern file into the same folder. Reboot your system into SAFE MODE and then double click SYSCLEAN.

The first two files I listed, might have been cleaned in a previous scan or clean up process. I really don't thing they are REAL programs running.

Also, these .. look like adware/spyware...

O2 - BHO: ohb - {4D568F0F-8AC9-40AB-88B7-415134C78777} - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\WINB2S32.DLL
O2 - BHO: CExtension Object - {0019C3E2-DD48-4A6D-ABCD-8D32436323D9} - C:\WINDOWS\BXXS5.DLL
O3 - Toolbar: Begin2Search.com Bar - {52FE5233-367C-4EFB-BDD7-0BE4D212C107} - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\WINB2S32.DLL
O3 - Toolbar: Search - {AC1B87A2-B860-F2E3-F60D-49CC86EE5026} - C:\WINDOWS\Ohctxbev.dll

I am sure there is more. However, you should get all this cleaned up and repost a new log on here. Make sure you have the newest version of HJT also.

Hope that was a start at least.

J_R:

You have spyware and other "nasties" there. Those 2 .EXE files in C:\Windows\System are definitely suspicious. You should also get rid of WeatherBug.

Click the link below and read the article about spyware. It'll provide you with some links to download 2 spyware detection-and-removal utilities from, and will also provide you with some instructions to follow.

Make sure that you're using the latest version of HijackThis, which is 1.98.2. Make sure to post the entire log so we can see what version you're using and also what Windows version you're using.

I have re-ran Spybot and HighJack This! to clean up the problems pointed
out in the email reply. This is a new scan below.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [5KE6GN74RGALYA] C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\Yfk8.exe This
one will not delete! I delete it with HighJack This and delete it manually
from my registery and it just shows back up! Any advice?

Jimmy

First thing you need to do is...

Disable GoBack on all of your drives. This will clear the goback history and you will no longer be able to roll your system back to an earlier date.

Also, it is a long shot, but before you do anything with HJT you should look in the add/remove software in the control panel for the possibility of uninstalling any of the stuff on the to delete list. I highly doubt it, but it just might be there.

When you run hijackThis, check the following boxes and let it fix them for you....

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://websearch.drsnsrch.com/sidesearch.cgi?id=
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://websearch.drsnsrch.com/sidesearch.cgi?id=
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://websearch.drsnsrch.com/sidesearch.cgi?id=
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://websearch.drsnsrch.com/sidesearch.cgi?id=
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = about:blank
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = websearch.drsnsrch.com/q.cgi?q=
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = about:blank
R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {20EC3D2D-33C1-4C9D-BC37-C2D500688DA2} - (no file)

After that, scan again and let it delete the following....

O3 - Toolbar: Advanced Searchbar - {43F02779-6D88-4958-8AD3-83C12D86ADC7} - C:\PROGRAM FILES\ADVANCED SEARCHBAR\TOOLBAR.DLL
O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {014DA6C9-189F-421a-88CD-07CFE51CFF10} - (no file)
O3 - Toolbar: Begin2Search.com Bar - {52FE5233-367C-4EFB-BDD7-0BE4D212C107} - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\WINB2S32.DLL (file missing)
O9 - Extra button: Advanced Searchbar - {43F02779-6D88-4958-8AD3-83C12D86ADC7} - C:\PROGRAM FILES\ADVANCED SEARCHBAR\TOOLBAR.DLL
O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Advanced Searchbar - {43F02779-6D88-4958-8AD3-83C12D86ADC7} - C:\PROGRAM FILES\ADVANCED SEARCHBAR\TOOLBAR.DLL
O9 - Extra button: SideFind - {10E42047-DEB9-4535-A118-B3F6EC39B807} - (no file)

After you do all that, post a new log here and I will have a look at it again.

There you go... you should be good to go now.

Did you remember to disable GoBack? All you have to do is disable it, which will prompt you to restart.. after the system restarts, you can reenable it. This clears all the old backups out of GoBack, which is necessary to keep you from going back and getting all that nasty stuff again.

There are only two things I do not like that are left...

That is you have weatherbug installed. Which is exactly that, a BUG.
Also, you have P2P installed on your system.

If you were to uninstall weather bug and P2P, I would approve of your system. That of course, is my personal opinion on those two programs.

The P2P is from file sharing programs like Kazaa and so on.

Have a good one and hope everything remains safe!!

Shane
