When starting up Windows XP Pro, I get this window popping up "Windows installer....."
and another window, "This MSI must be launched through setup".
It looks as though Windows is trying to install a program, but I cant figure out what it is as nothing appears after Windows installer......
Is there a way to check what program is trying to install, in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu, it shows shortcuts to the following, Norton Systemworks, Windows Catalog, Windows update, and Set Program Access and Defaults.
    Thanks
    GordyT

MSI state for "Microsoft Windows Installer".

    Two reasons may happen.

    1) the norton prog not install properly.
or 2) the MSI have problem.

If problem from norton, unstall and re install it.

If from MSI need run "Windows Installer CleanUp utility " http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;290301
    :)
