    I RECENTLY CHANGED MY COMPANIES NAME, HOW CAN I EDIT THE REGISTERED NAME IN WINDOWS 98 AND OTHER SOFTWARE IN THE AREA WHERE IT SAYS "REGISTERD TO: " WHEN YOU OPEN A PROGRAM . AND SO WHEN I INSTALL NEW SOFTWARE IN THE FUTURE IT WILL PUT MY NEW NAME IN INSTEAD OF THE OLD ONE?

    The easiest thing to do would be to open the registry and do a search for the name you are usig now. Change Each instance to the new name. Press F3 to continue the search.

    Go to Start>run and type regedit. Press enter.
    Go to the toolbar>Edit>Find and type the name to begin the search. Keep going until you have found and changed all the entries. The reg will tell youwhen it has finished searching.

    This has to be done using regedit. As always, BACKUP important info before tampering with the registry. Once the backup is done, run regedit, search for instances of your old company name, and replace it with your new company name.
