I have being using comodo internet security for quite a while already. But a few days ago when i try to log in into my com it will show blue screen of death for 0.5 sec and then my computer will reboot itself and ask me whether i want to start my computer normally or start it in the last working setting. If i choose start PC normally the BSOF will appear again and my PC will reboot. I can only choose to start my PC in the last working setting. After removing comodo internet security from my PC its back to normal again. Im using windows XP SP2, can any1 tell me, is some thing there sth wrong with my PC/ Comodo. And can some1 recommend me a good and free firewall and antivirus to use. Thks

I'm not an expert or anything but the fact your running SP2 instead of SP3 could be a problem even though the Comodo requirement says SP2. I would strongly urge you to update your system to SP3. It could be a memory problem but not sure

For anti virus/firewall, I recommend Comodo Personal Firewall and Avg or Avast Anti-virus.

If your problems started after updating from a previous version of CIS, I would suggest you install the latest 3.9 now you have uninstalled the existing one.

    Download direct from here:
    http://personalfirewall.comodo.com/download_firewall.html

i have been using Comodo internet security but this few days a problem that cant be resolved happened suddenly. Every time i turn on my PC the blue screen of death will appear for 0.5 secs and the PC will reboot it self and i will end up at a page where it ask whether i want to start normally or start at the last working setting. If i select start normally the process will repeat it self. Thus i removed comodo and installed online armor then the same problem happan again. Can some 1 tell me how to resolve this? THKS!

I'vd merged both of your threads here. Please do not start more than one thread for the same issue. Continue replying in this one until it's resolved please.

    Did you get SP3?

    • Save HJTsetup.exe to your desktop.
    • Double click on the HJTsetup.exe icon on your desktop.
    • By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Hijack This.
    • Continue to click Next in the setup dialogue boxes until you get to the Select Addition Tasks dialogue.
    • Put a check by Create a desktop icon then click Next again.
    • Continue to follow the rest of the prompts from there.
    • At the final dialogue box click Finish and it will launch Hijack This.
    • Click on the Do a system scan and save a log file button. It will scan and then ask you to save the log.
    • Click Save to save the log file and then the log will open in notepad.
    • Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
    • Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.
    • DO NOT have Hijack This fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.
