I am at my Father's house and he has recently had a trojan horse. He says there have been other problems quarantined and that the computer is still acting weird and making sounds. I ran adaware and spybot search and destroy...can you take a look at the hijack this log? He seems to have a ton of protection software ect. and it slows his computer. What does he really need? thanks, jenny

    Hi jimku, Welcome to TSG!!

Move hijackthis.exe into a permanent folder like My Documents\hjt then post another log.
To create a permanent folder click My Computer, then C:\
In the menu bar click on File, New, Folder.
That will create a folder named New Folder, which you can rename to "HJT" or "HijackThis". Now you have C:\HJT\ folder. Put your HijackThis.exe there, and double click to run it.

Run HJT again and put a check in the following:

    O4 - Global Startup: LimeWire 4.0.7.lnk = C:\Program Files\LimeWire\LimeWire 4.0.7\LimeWire.exe
    O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {CD67F990-D8E9-11d2-98FE-00C0F0318AFE} - (no file)
    O13 - WWW. Prefix: http://ehttp.cc/?
    O16 - DPF: {9522B3FB-7A2B-4646-8AF6-36E7F593073C} (cpbrkpie Control) - http://a19.g.akamai.net/7/19/7125/1...23/cpbrkpie.cab
O19 - User stylesheet: (file missing)

Close all applications and browser windows before you click "fix checked".

    Restart in safe mode

Open Windows Explorer. Go to Tools, Folder Options and click on the View tab. Make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is checked. Also uncheck "Hide protected operating system files". Now click "Apply to all folders" Click "Apply" then "OK".

Go to control panel, add/remove programs and remove LimeWire.

    Delete the folder: C:\Program Files\LimeWire

    Reboot.
