    Hi there

Please can anyone out there help me. I'm at my wits end.

I like online gaming, particularly Modern Warfare 2 on the Xbox 360.

I've been suffering serious lag. Especially at more popular times. I live right in the middle of Manhattan so you can imagine how many people are fighting for the same bandwidth.

Here's the thing though. I just upgraded to Time Warner Cable WIDEBAND.

When tested on various speed test sites and ping test sites I have the following results: download speed 45mbps, upload speed 5mbps, and ping of 20 or less, with no packet loss and jitter of 3.
I'm no expert, far from it, but this seems very good to me.

Trouble is I still suffer crazy lag on the xbox on most days which is really irritating because I love playing MW2 but hate the disadvantage I have.

Also, the Macbook I am using to write, and do the tests is super slow too.

I don't understand how I can have this problem given I have WIDEBAND and such great speeds.

What else could be affecting the speed but doesn't show up in the tests? I don't believe it's my hardware because it affects both my Macbook and my Xbox 360.

    Please help!

    Thanks
    Mark
