Hi AVG Free version found WIN32/Parite on my computer. When I try and have it removed AVG just hangs and does nothing. I have tried the following removal tools and one of them finds nothing and the other just hangs too.

Also I have been told on more than one occasion that having two anti viruses is not a good idea, I have tried to uninstall NAV 2002 through ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS but it doesn't uninstall as it asks me to insert the CDROM which I have lost.. How can I remove it manually?

Another quick question.. I' ve just installed a hardware firewall, do I still need to have software firewall to be safe?

    HI ya,

I have used the free AVG 6.0 for quite sometime now and it works quite well for me, I also try to make it a point to use one or 2 of the free online virus scanners at least a couple of times a month.

    Housecall

    Panda ActiveScan

As for the firewall, I am using AlphShield hardware fierewall along with XP firewall.
