My old crt monitor died & I got an envision 8100e. Problem is I can't get it to work with the ATI AIW 8500DV video card. The monitor says that "input not supported". When I checked the envision website, it says to right click on the desktop & adjust the settings but nothing happens when I do this. Any ideas?

The ATI AIW 8500DV do come with an adapter. I made sure that the connections were intact. Any other suggestion? By the way, I was able to get it to work before by using my old video card before installing the ati but it doesn't seem to work this time.

    Howdy there leynet...

Are you getting this error as soon as you power up, or when it loads the operating system ?

It happens on start up. The screen would be black with a box saying input not supported.

Is there a difference in the pins on the old card as compaired to the new card?
Are you using the same cable for both?

I take it that you are not seeing the memory count or anything during power up, correct ?

Do you have another monitor that you can try to test the video card, or mabe another pc that you can test the monitor on ?
