I was trying to edit a .cfg file and saved it as a wordpad doc. Now all of my .cfg files show as wordpad docs. I tried to go in and change the assocation but have not had any luck. What type of program should .cfg use? thanks for any help.

    Welcome to TSG!

I am sort of guessing here, but I would think Notepad would be better. Make sure you have it set to "All FIles" under Save As when you save it.

I think the .doc adds formatting info to the file.
