I have a question concerning my first build. Is this the place, or can someone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks...

    Hello and welcome to TSG!!

You would probably be best served by posting in the Hardware forum here. There are several very knowledgeable users that would be very helpful with your questions. It may take some of them a while to respond as they are in many different time zones around the world.

The asrock taichi series is excellent. I have the x370 taichi with a 1700x and it is a very stable motherboard even overclocked to 4.0 gig.
Be sure you get a quality pw supply. Good ie recommended brands; corsair [HX, AX, or RM models ONLY] Seasonic, or Antec [HCG series ONLY]

Are you using the stock cooler or are you using an aftermarket cooler or water cooling?
